The all new MHG-XT3 Metal Hand Grip attaches to the base of the camera and retains access to the battery and memory card compartment. At the base of the grip, a 38mm-wide protrusion features a dovetail design that can act as a quick release plate with Arca-type compatible tripod mounts. Alternatively, a 1/4"-20 tripod mount has been positioned along the optical axis of the camera to benefit the creation of panning shots.
